check out this nifty little app. You tell is what you drank last night and it'll tell you how many calories it was, then equates that to English food you've probably never had. sweet. Seems I consumed 440 calories last night which is the same as a couple jaffa cakes and some other stuff.

I mean, really?

It really didn't sink in until after I returned home from my errands today which included only one trip to Play N Trade in Bloomington and a luncheon with friends which preceded a wedding rehearsal.

The man in the story above was trampled to death. He was crushed by the crazy suburban New Yorkers that rushed, nay, BROKE INTO to the largest retail chain in the world to get their $20 DVD players, their $400 TVs and their cheap DVDs.

I thought for sure by now (5:30pm 11/28/08) WalMart would've had an open apology to the person's family who was affected and a warning to their customers to slow the hell down and remember that their are real people working at these places.

I hope that every New Yorker who rushed passed that poor man today goes home and feels like complete crap for what they did... for their $3 off.

Another Thanksgiving tradition from yore. A trip to the Gobbler. For the geeks, this is what the game room looked like.

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute has a 33-question basic American History quiz. According to this news story, ordinary citizens scored an average of 49% on the quiz. Worse than that, however, were the results for elected officials who scored an average of 44%.

There's a puppy mill operating here in Minnesota called Puppies on Wheels that, hopefully, will see some consequences for their cruel treatment of animals. WCCO has done a few stories on it in the last week. The one from last night was particularly horrifying:
